It's not every day that you get to film a bride and groom sharing a kiss after their wedding in the middle of the ever busy Dartmouth street at the center of Boston's Copley Square. I was so excited when we realized they had had shut down the street for a summer concert that was taking place in the square. This just added to the awesomeness of Bridget and John's special day... The wedding preparations started with the girls getting their hair done at Nicole's Salon and Day Spa, in Stoneham and then continued with more fun at the Westin's luxurious Presidential Suite that had a 270 degree view of the city of Boston. The girls had a blast with makeup artist, Danielle G, who helped them get ready for the day. John was getting ready several floors below with his groomsmen. One of my favorite parts of the day was capturing John and Bridget reading their cards to each other- after meeting for the first time while working at Fenway Park, they both felt that they had a connection unlike anything they have felt before. And six years later, they were still filled with so much love and admiration for each other and couldn't wait to start their new life together as husband and wife :) John and Bridget were married at the Old South Church, just one block away from where they were getting ready, and would later have their reception. My favorite ceremony moment had to be when John yelled out to Bridget from the top of the aisle "You're beautiful" as she was walking down with her father :) Following the ceremony the wedding party took some photos in front of the Boston Public Library. After sending their friends and family inside to enjoy the cocktail hour, Bridget and John took a walk down past Newbury street to Comm Ave for some more photos (I still don't know how she walked all that way in those heels!!) Kristen from Kristen Jane Photography set up some gorgeous shots of the two newlyweds. She was such a joy to work with, and her pictures of their wedding were absolutely stunning. The reception decor at the Westin was classy and elegant- with gorgeous table lines, beautiful centerpieces, and perfect uplighting that made the room glow all night long. The view from the ballroom's floor to ceiling windows overlooking the city was amazing. Chris and Antonio, Next Level Entertainment DJs, kept the party going with music that was enjoyed by everyone- ending the night with a sing along to Piano Man, led by John's brothers. See short clip here :) It was the perfect end to an incredible celebration filled with all of Bridget and John's loving friends and family. Bridget and John, we couldn't be happier for you both. Thank you so much for having us be a part of your special day, we wish you all the best in the years to come! |
